As the editor and photo editor of Mountain Life I’m kind of at an unfair advantage when it comes to cover photos. Yes, my shots have graced the majority of the covers since I started here. But looking back, I don’t think I’ve made any horrible mistakes; except Steve Ogle should have got the cover of Spring 2011.Between the publisher, managing editor and designer, we generally pick the best photo in the mag to go on the cover. It needs to represent the issue as a whole and the season. Alija Bos got one last summer and I think Ethan Meleg, Marc Landry and Richard Roth are due any day now. Here’s a look at a few of covers I’ve shot.
