Ever since hearing about the Dempster Highway I’ve been wanting to drive it. So when Outcrop Communications asked if I could work with them on some drone footage, I was all over it. Creative director Steve Freake and I spent a week travelling from Inuvik, to Tuktoyaktuk, then Inuvik down to Eagle Plains gathering as much footage as we could for a CBC commercial. As far as fall colours were concerned we absolutely nailed the timing, but the sun really didn’t cooperate. The Dempster Highway is an incredible road. It’s dirty, long, bumpy and remote. But the scenery can’t be beat. Check out the final product below:
